A post exploring several mildly bizarre and unlikely books, with a request for fictitious elucidation

These three gems were outside Arcadia, an enchanting little shop on St Michael's Street in Oxford. I deliberately didn't read the backs because the fronts were so bewildering that I thought it would be more fun to come up with my own explanations.  And I'd love to hear yours.
Can you write the back-cover blurb for these mysterious titles? (No cheating on Google, mind!) Can you write the author's defence of their title, in their voice? Can you write the pitch letter they would've sent to the agent or publisher? Can you explain them?
